Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain Solutions is equipped with the perishable cargo terminal – Export Cold Zone at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Mumbai and provides an end-to-end temperature-controlled supply chain for export cargo. The Export Cold Zone (ECZ), spread over 6000 square meters, has separate facilities for pharmaceutical and perishable (agro) cargo. Of this space, 4000 square meters are exclusively dedicated to the handling of pharmaceutical shipments. The terminal can process a throughput capacity of up to 3,00,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals and 1,68,000 tonnes of perishable cargo annually. (25,000 tonnes of pharma and 14,000 tonnes of perishable cargo per month.)

The Pharma Excellence Center, situated at the terminal, provides an end-to-end temperature-controlled environment that is mapped and monitored electronically. It is the world’s only cargo terminal dedicated completely to pharmaceuticals, with a storage area on the mezzanine floor for up to 80 plus airline pallet positions for pharmaceutical cargo. The ECZ is equipped with truck docks, freezer chambers, cold rooms, and advanced IT infrastructure. It has a total of 12 truck docks—six for pharma and six for other cargo. It provides an end-to-end temperature-controlled supply chain for export cargo. It is designed to handle all categories of perishable and temperature-sensitive (“PTSP”) cargo. The terminal has a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure along with 24/7 security and surveillance.

 

The terminal is CEIV Pharma Certified and GDP Compliant.
